Amazingly the study results do point to something entirely different. The poll results point to a societal belief that mechanics are untrustworthy. The results emphasize the need for auto facilities to teach “repairs and maintenance 101” to consumers to ensure a better customer experience and enhance trust.

Most of the respondents say a mechanic should offer greater transparency by explaining vehicle issues, the necessity for specific repairs and the reason additional work may be needed.
