The Volvo V90 came along in 1997 and was basically the Volvo 960 station wagon with a different name; the name change brought it into line with the manufacturer’s recently adopted letter and numbering system used on other models.

The five-door V90 station wagon comes with a choice of a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission while the six-cylinder DOHC in-line engine is available as a 2.5 liter or 3.0 liter unit.
